Mallison to Miller

   

Mallison, John

John is currently Director of Mentoring for the Australian Arrow Leadership Program. He is Director of John Mallison Ministries, a faith ministry committed to develop Christian leadership. While serving as Director of Adult Education in NSW for the Uniting Church in Australia, he founded and directed the ELM Centre, their Lay Education Centre. John founded the Australian Small Group Network, a national movement involving all denominations aimed at maximising the impact of small groups upon the church and nation.

Maloney, Newton

H. Newton Maloney is senior professor of psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, a licensed psychologist, and an ordained United Methodist minister.

Mant, Alistair

Alistair Mant is an international authority on leadership development and executive talent identification. Alistair spends a third of each year working with private and public sector clients in Australasia dealing with leadership, modernisation of government, organisation structure and the strategic aspects of human resource management and development. He was involved in Western Australia's Progress Rural WA strategy to help rural communities support greater innovation.

Maxwell, John

In 1985, with the blessings of his congregation at Skyline Wesleyan Church near San Diego, John founded INJOY®, starting with the INJOY Life Club® monthly audiotape program. The operation quickly outgrew a one-car garage. At the same time, pastors began to demand other resources at a rate much greater than John had anticipated. He started resourcing other pastors full time in 1995. In 1996 John established EQUIP, a non-profit organization that trains leaders in urban communities, academic institutions, and within international organizations.

Mead, Loren 

Loren B. Mead, an ordained Episcopal priest, is an educator, consultant, and author who works to strengthen religious institutions, especially local congregations. A pioneer in congregational studies, he brought together the methods of organization development consultation and applied research for working with congregations. He was the founder of the Alban Institute. In his work with churches, Loren has helped develop a number of resources now widely used - the role and work of the interim pastor, the use of conflict management, the work on clergy stress and burnout, concepts of change and development in congregations and judicatory systems, and training methods for executives and bishops.

Miller, Calvin

Calvin Miller teaches at Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, Alabama, in the areas of preaching and pastoral ministry. Prior to coming to Beeson, he was Professor of Communication and Ministry Studies as well as Writer-in-Residence at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served for 25 years as pastor of Westside Baptist Church, Omaha, Nebraska, which grew from 10 members to more than 2,500. In addition to writing and pastoral experience, Miller is a poet, artist, novelist, and evangelist. He is the author of more than 40 books and numerous articles on religion and preaching. His latest books include The Empowered Communicator, Market-Place Preaching, and Spirit, Word and Story.
